Candidate in Clinical Psychoanalysis

My fields of specialisation

Diagnosing and treating anxiety disorders, mood disorders, sleep disorders and other types of mental disorders, individual psychoanalytic psychotherapy. I provide counselling to people who suffer from various mental health problems related to stress, psychological tension or life changes. After evaluating the person’s mental condition, I discuss options for further treatment with the patient, whether it is a medication-based treatment, psychotherapy, or a combination of both.

Together with the patient, we look deeper into major events of their life, past traumas they may have experienced, and the things that make them happy or cause them pain. Minor life events, which may seem insignificant at first, can explain important aspects that have a profound impact on our current daily lives and can even help get to the roots of the current problems or issues we are facing. It is like a journey to explore our inner layers. It may take a while and be quite challenging, but it is worth the effort as it brings more inner peace and harmony and provides inner strength that may have been lacking in the past.

Consultations:

Assessment of mental state, development of tactics, and plan for further treatment.

If it is not possible to meet live, I consult remotely via Skype, Zoom, or other video platforms.

It can be short-term, focused on finding solutions to a specific problem or situation, or long-term psychotherapy, aimed at deeper self-knowledge, understanding of persistent, long-lasting difficulties or problems and their causes, and the opportunity for change.

SPORTS PSYCHIATRY IS MY SPECIAL FIELD OF INTEREST

Sports Psychiatry

Athletes are a unique group of people because they face challenges and competition in pursuit of their goals and have to deal with victories and defeats from their early childhood days. There is hard work and dedication behind every impressive victory. Disappointment, emotional and physical exhaustion are constant companions in the athlete’s life. That is why it is very important to help them identify, recognise and address the issues that they may face so that their sport career does not become a source of suffering.
